Great Basin Children’s Advocacy Center (GBCAC) helps build a community where children are safe, families are strong, and victims can become children again.
GBCAC supports, nurtures, and protects children and families who are involved in child abuse investigation and treatment by providing a child-friendly environment that minimizes trauma and fosters healing.

Forensic Services
Forensic interviewing enables professional service providers to obtain information from a child about abuse allegations. Medical examinations enable doctors and nurses to examine children who may have experienced age-inappropriate sexual or physical abuse.

Support Services
Victim advocates are professionals trained to support victims of crime and their caregivers. Child therapists are professionals with specialized training who deliver trauma focused and evidence-supported mental health treatment.

Community Partners
Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) assist families by helping them understand the child welfare system and refer them to community partners who can provide needed resources and services. CACs help children cope with the trauma of abuse and help them move toward healing.
